Outside

Lately, we've heard lots of "Can we go outside to play?" or Izaak will go to the back door and point and then bring you his shoes. So, we've spent some time out in the back yard. Last week, we planted our garden and several containers with flowers and vegetables. I'm really looking forward to home grown tomatoes and seeing if the purple carrots and bird house gourds we planted come up. The kids have enjoyed playing in the dirt and have found a small hideout under one of the trees by the garden and our neighbors garage. They go in there and look for bugs and worms and generally require a bath afterwards. Last Friday, the first of the peonies started blooming and this week they are beautiful! Unfortunately, it rained and now they are all laying on the ground. The picture where Izaak fell asleep during lunch was a day we had walked to the library and back, played outside and then walked around the block that morning. After all that activity on his cute little legs, I think he deserved a nap.
