We arrived home yesterday and between jet lag, Kareena, Izaak and sleeping, I have just now got to turn the computer on to update everyone. The trip back was better than expected. Izaak did not sleep much on the Seoul to LA leg, but he did not cry much either. Got through customs and immigration, walked 3 terminals to Delta's ticket counter and were told that we can't check you in yet, you can either walk back to the international terminal or wait here for an hour. Here was in line with no chairs, food, etc. So after getting mad at delta for not telling us this before we walked all the way there, we walked back to the international terminal got something to eat and walked back to delta's ticket counter. Then had to walk one more terminal to go through security and to the gate. The lay over in LA was good, he slept and played. LA to Cincinnati was not so good. The plane did not have any changing stations in the bathrooms which was hard for me to believe but I checked all 7 of them. All in all he only cried for about 1 hour out of 5.

His first experience in a car seat was not much fun for anyone, He slept for a little bit but cried most of the hour home.
Kareena and Izaak checking each other out this morning.
This week was just the start of a great life together. No doubt, there will be many more challenges and adventures. We plan to keep updating this blog with new pictures and experiences so keep checking back with us. |

post a commentWhat a fabulous Fourth of July! I'm glad that you have made it home in spite of airport issues. Good luck with starting your new life as a family of four. Izaak is adorable and I'm sure that Kareena is going to be a big help! I'm so happy for you!

I just caught up on all your postings today, and I am SO happy for you! I'm sure the adjustment period will be hard, but when it is over and everyone is settled in, you'll only remember the good parts--and always remember that you have the rest of your life to sleep (at least that's what everyone told ME when I brought my second one home)! I'll look forward to future postings, especially the pictures.
