Today we while waiting one last day we tried to absorbs as much Korean culture as possible. We went to the DMZ between North and South Korea, the most fortified border in the world. They are still many attempts to unify the two parts of their land into one country. The difference between North and South is demonstrated by the fact the there are very few trees left on the north side of the DMZ because they have all been cut for fuel. The picture was taken at a new train station that is being built that will support high speed trains that currently run in South Korea.

This picture is of some of the barricades that the bus had to travel around on the way into and out of the DMZ.

We also went to two shopping areas. One was a clothing and house wares market. Mostly for tourists. Then we went to the electronics market. Imagine, 4 floors of every kind of electronic gadget you could want. This was a picture of half of one side of one floor.

The next post should have pictures of Izaak. It will be hard to sleep tonight and it wont be because of jet lag.
